The Nautilus Pier 4 in Bostons Seaport is looking for a talented passionate and knowledgeable events manager to join our team.

Successful candidates will be excellent at self-management have a love for hospitality be a team player and thrive in an energetic atmosphere.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Event Manager will be responsible for event outreach planning and execution of all events at Nautilus Pier 4. Primary responsibilities include:

• Meet weekly with management team to discuss previous and upcoming events
• Develop & update event marketing materials package options and streamline event inquiries.
• Build a contact network based on reservation lists previous clients social media apartment building managers hotel managers local offices & other business.
• Create & implement an events outreach program to drive event sales by direct networking & marketing with the contact network to target special events throughout the year
• Respond in a timely manner to all private parties requests and provide timely responses to all guest communication.
• Be guests point of contact and restaurant liaison for all events from start to finish including all questions and planning follow up and billing.
• Continue to integrate the events program with the rest of the restaurant including the kitchen the bar the wine program service & management. This will include creating new systems and analyze existing system to steamline processes
• Adapt to client needs and update events program as needed. Be creative in ways to seat guests and drive event sales alongside general restaurant goals to maximize overall restaurant profitability.
• See events through execution which may often require in-service work to ensure a smooth event.
• Cover floor manager shifts as needed (generally to cover vacations sick days etc of other management team)
• Leadership role on the staff
• Staff trainining for events

This is a highly visible role within the business. Experience managing events in a high end restaurant is necessary and night and weekend availability is required.
