Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg / Telemetry
Location: Rochester NY 14626
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hours) 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced hospital setting. The RN will provide care to patients with acute and complex conditions ensuring high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for Med-Surg and Telemetry patients
- Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Administer medications and IV therapy
- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertions
- Assist with oxygen therapy including BiPAP CPAP and ventilators
- Follow infection control and isolation protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Respond effectively to patient emergencies
Required Qualifications
- Active New York RN License (required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement
- Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC certification
