IV Pharmacy Technician

What Youll Do

• Assist Infusion & Specialty pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations
• Retrieve count pour label and reconstitute prescription medications
• Prepare accurate prescription labels and maintain complete documentation
• Enter and retrieve information in pharmacy systems to maintain accurate records
• Maintain patient and client profiles
• Request refill authorizations from prescribers
• Process and prepare third-party insurance claims
• Communicate professionally with physicians patients and insurance providers
• Support pharmacy inventory management and related reporting
• Help maintain an organized efficient and compliant pharmacy workflow

What Were Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Texas
• IV certification
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately read and transcribe pharmaceutical information
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy management systems
• Reliable attendance punctuality and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pharmacy management software such as WellSky CareTend and/or CPR
• Experience with prescription processing claims and inventory workflows
• Bilingual skills are a plus especially Spanish Arabic French Vietnamese Hindi Gujarati or Urdu

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to sit intermittently throughout the day
• Ability to bend reach climb and squat frequently
• Ability to type and use a computer regularly
• Ability to speak on the telephone
• Ability to lift push or pull at least 40 lbs.
• Ability to read write speak and understand English
