Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or PA Surgical IMC Unit

Job Description:
Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled PA or ACNP to join our Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (SIMC). This role provides a unique opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care in a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g. central line placement arterial line placement lumbar punctures).
• Manage patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and preventive care.
• Participate in rounds case conferences and quality improvement initiatives

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts; weekends holidays. No call.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree from an accredited PA or ACNP program.
• Current NCCPA certification (for PAs) or ACNP certification.
• Active Maryland state licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care ED or intermediate care preferred.
• Advanced clinical skills critical thinking and excellent communication.
• Ability to thrive independently and within a fast-paced team environment.

Salary Range: Minimum 53.15/hour - Maximum 82.38/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
