Newport Harbor Yacht Club is seeking a motivated and detail-orientedJunior Staff Accountantto join our team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to grow within a premier private club known for exceptional hospitality and service.
Position Overview:
The Junior Staff Accountant will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger tasks. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist withaccounts payable and receivable processing
- Supportmember billing and collections
- Performdata entry account reconciliations and journal entries
- Assist withmonth-end close and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Respond to internal and member billing inquiries in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and or min 3 years in Accounting Finance or related field(or in progress)
- 13 years of accounting experience preferred
- Hospitality or service industry experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Positive attitude willingness to learn and team-oriented mindset
