The Trading Senior Analyst will handle data flows of renewable energy assets among internal and external platforms to distribute key performance metrics supporting commercial position optimization. The position will be responsible for maintaining P&L reports on and communicating key performance drivers to leadership. The position will frequently work with large data sets to produce analysis conveying market insights. This person will be exposed to the trading operations and settlements group and must have the ability to bridge the communication gap between various stakeholders. Reports to the Head of Northeast Power Trading.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor data flows into risk management system
- Implement processes to identify and resolve data flow discrepancies
- Build models conveying market drivers in asset P&Ls that quantify deviations between forecast budget and actual results to leadership
- Input deal transactions into risk management system reflecting deal structure
- Produce research to validate market assumptions
- Responds to internal requests from other departments for market data and analysis
Requirements:- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics or other related business field
- At least 2 years of experience related!
- Understanding of ETRM system functionality. Allegro Preferred
- Knowledge of power commodity markets under ISOs. PJM preferred
- Excel proficient with ability to manipulate large data sets for analysis (the ability to write macros and code is a huge plus)
- Understanding of end-to-end energy market
- Experience with bid to build systems. Adapt2 Preferred
- Comfortable working in group settings team player
