ABOUT IPTAY AND CLEMSON ATHLETICS:

The Clemson University Athletic Department one of the nations premier athletic and academic brands sponsors 21 NCAA Division-I sports and supports more than 500 student-athletes. The department relies on the support of IPTAY (originally I pay ten a year) which was founded in 1934. It is now one of the of the most successful athletic fundraising organizations providing millions of dollars in scholarships for student-athletes and non-athletes alike and substantial support for programs and facilities that help Clemson Athletics build championship-level programs. IPTAY staff help student-athletes be top competitors both on the field and in the classroom and receive many opportunities that come with being a part of this important organization. IPTAY is supported through annual donations gift planning and major gifts. Each is vital to the success of Clemson Athletics.

IPTAY MISSION STATEMENT:

IPTAY provides resources to support the academic athletic and personal development of Clemson University student-athletes and the competitive success of Clemson Athletics.

JOBSUMMARY:

The Premium Hospitality internisresponsible forworking with the Premium Hospitality team to plan prepare and carry out all operations of the premium areas for Memorial Stadium.This internship program is a paid position that will start August 2026 and will end December 2026.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties to include but not limited to the following:

  • Assist the Premium Hospitality team in strategically executing gameday operations for premium spaces ensuring seamless and exceptional customer experiences at Memorial Stadium.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IPTAY and Clemson Athletic Department) regarding the day-to-day operations of the hospitality team to improve customer satisfaction and experience.
  • Manage suite level or club area during stocking and game day.
  • Provide and maintain a high level of customer service for IPTAY donors and guests.
  • Uphold exclusivity of premium areas.
  • Secure and clean suites and club areas post-game.
  • Guide Tiger Team members on assigned suite floors or club areas during stocking and game days.
  • Actively listen to IPTAY donors guests and vendors to improve gameday experience each week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to work all 7 home games at Memorial Stadium: September 12 September 19 October 3 October 17 October 24 November 14 November 28 and potential College Football Playoff Games on December 18 & 19.
  • Able to work all Friday Stocking dates: September 11 September 18 October 2 October 16 October 23 November 13 November 28.
  • Service-first mindset.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain effective collaboration and communication with campus partners administrators donors faculty and students.
  • Able to work flexible hours (evenings weekends holidays).
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Comfort with managing multiplerequests and taskssimultaneously and accurately.
  • Ability desire and willingness to work collaboratively in a team-based environment with internal and external constituencies.
  • The highest standards of professionalism and performance as evidenced by consistency and quality of output timeliness and follow-through discretion and a strong appreciation for special needs associated with sensitive data and commitment to keep confidential all data related to the Clemson IPTAY and its alumni and donors.
  • Evidence of self-motivation and initiative and the ability to work both independently and in teams with high personal standards representative of the Universitys commitment to excellence.
  • Work a minimum of 8 hours on game day.
  • Must successfully completea pre-employment criminal background checkand drug screen.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Working toward a Bachelors or Masters Degree
  • 1-2 years of hospitality customer service development or communications experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for set-up service and clean-up of the suite/club
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift including walking up and down stairs and lifting as the work duties demand.
