Job Title: Sterilization Technician
Location: Springfield MA 01103
Job Type: Per Diem (Shifts based on operational needs)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to support clinical operations by ensuring all instruments equipment and treatment areas are properly cleaned sterilized and maintained in accordance with strict infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following established infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms with properly sterilized tools and materials
- Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor and document sterilization cycles maintaining accurate records
- Maintain cleanliness organization and inventory of the sterilization area
- Dispose of hazardous and biohazardous waste in compliance with safety regulations
- Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive and efficient work environment
Skills & Experience
- Required: 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience
- Preferred: Previous experience in dental or medical sterilization
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications
- Preferred: Dental Assistant Certification
