The Machinist C primary functions are to fabricate maintain repair and/or alters metal parts and metal objects using a variety of hand tools and metalworking machines.

Job Duties:

1. Manufacturing parts from different materials to the drawings supplied.
2. Handling of raw and stock materials from delivery to completion of parts.
3. Maintaining tolerances as close as - .005.
4. Daily production of saw cutting milling turning drilling tapping reaming slotting deburring sanding and grinding.
5. Sets up and operates metalworking machines such as lathes and milling machines to machine parts to established specifications.
6. Performs related duties such as cleaning work area tools and equipment; maintaining records and logs; and drawing sketches of metal parts or metal components to be machined.
7. Measures marks and scribes metal stock following blueprints diagrams and/or specifications and using square rule and scribe to prepare metal for machining operations.
8. Sets up and operates metalworking machines such as lathes and milling machines to machine parts to established specifications.
9. Reviews plans specifications diagrams etc. to determine dimensions and tolerances of metal components to be machined and to determine the tools materials and equipment required to complete assigned project.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work 6am-430pm Monday-Thursday.
• Must be flexible OT and weekend are required as needed.
• Must be able to read/write.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
• Must be able to read and correctly interpret drawings.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Must be able to read measurement instruments such as Calipers Micrometers tape measure etc.
• Basic math skills to measure specifications.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2 years plus of manufacturing experience HVAC industry preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements Essential

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to sit stand walk bend push pull twist and turn for long periods of time in a manufacturing environment (Varied based on daily tasks).
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
