Job Title: Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: TBD (Day/Night based on facility needs)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) with a strong cardiac patient population. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience managing high-acuity patients and be comfortable working with cardiac drips and telemetry.
Patient Population / Diagnoses:
- STEMI / NSTEMI
- Chest Pain (C/P)
- Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) patients
- Patients requiring cardiac monitoring and interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for high-acuity cardiac patients
- Monitor and manage cardiac drips including:
- Milrinone
- Dobutamine
- Vasopressors
- Continuous telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Assess plan and implement patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Additional Responsibilities:
- May be assigned to telemetry patients within the same unit (lower acuity as needed)
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a similar-sized facility
- Must have documented PCU experience in work history
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact as applicable)
- BLS & ACLS certifications (required)
