We are seeking a PRN Support Staff Technician to be the welcoming first point of contact for patients visitors and partners at River Bend Hospital West Lafayette Indiana. This role is key to keeping hospital operations running smoothly while ensuring a safe supportive environment.
What Youll Do as a PRN Support Staff Technician
- Greet visitors assess needs (including crisis situations) and connect them with appropriate staff
- Answer route and document routine and emergency calls; page staff and announce codes as needed
- Manage visitor access issue passes and explain hospital policies
- Support admissions and discharges by documenting activity in the electronic medical record
- Inventory store and return patient valuables
- Coordinate room scheduling and assist with general clerical tasks
- Respond to alarms and emergencies per hospital protocols
- Communicate professionally maintain confidentiality and support a positive team environment
- Participate in quality improvement and ongoing training
What Were Looking for in a PRN Support Staff Technician
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability between 4pm and 8pm during the week and 8am - 8pm on weekends.
- Two years of office or administrative experience preferred
- CPR Certification preferred
- Strong communication organization and customer-service skills
- Ability to stay calm professional and compassionate in fast-paced situations
