You will often be the first and sometimes only point of contact for staff so maintaining a professional courteous and respectful demeanor is essential. This is a highly visible and responsible position that requires the ability to work independently manage time effectively and communicate updates regularly to supervisors and team leaders. While the duties listed below outline key responsibilities you may be required to handle additional tasks as needed. CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintain and manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and DSNAP inventory and distribution systems
- Ensure compliance with vehicle management policies including maintaining state vehicles and submitting monthly logs
- Maintain Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) and trailers
- Support the MASC team including witnessing weekly mail destruction
- Assist with internal and external office moves
- Manage key distribution and tracking logs
- Administer and maintain keycard access systems
- Dispose of surplus materials and furniture in accordance with policies
- Provide and set up office furniture and equipment as needed
- Install items such as whiteboards corkboards and office fixtures
- Arrive at job sites prepared with tools and equipment ensuring accountability for issued items
- Support IT with equipment relocation and large-scale moves
- Safely move heavy items (e.g. desks filing cabinets) using proper equipment and safety guidelines
- Ensure facility operations (e.g. lighting HVAC) are functioning properly
- Travel to multiple locations and build professional relationships with site contacts
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
- Request supplies and purchase orders in a timely manner; do not authorize services without approval
- Assist with disaster preparedness and recovery efforts especially during hurricanes
- Identify and address safety issues immediately before leaving any site
- Handle security concerns including reporting trespassing incidents appropriately
- Transfer surplus IT equipment to designated warehouse locations
- Conduct facility site inspections as assigned
