Job Summary:

Event Set-up Lead - 3rd Shift

This frontline position is responsible for coordinating and executing event setups for conferences meetings and other special events at Union South. The Event Setup Lead will guide and training student workers. Based on need ensure the smooth execution of events. Exceptional customer service is a cornerstone of this position. Additionally the role involves stocking supplies and organizing storage closets this position may occasionally support events in additional buildings.

Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday 10:45pm - 7:15am

Compensation:

Wage is $18.00 per hour

$.80 added for differential Weekend pay for work performed on Saturday and Sunday..

2.50 added for differential night pay for work performed between 6pm-6am.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the creation of promotional materials and resources for events
  • Guides and trains student workers
  • Performs on-site event set-up and clean up and may perform basic custodial duties
  • Greets customers/guests assists with registration answers questions and provides routine information referring more complicates issues to appropriate entities
  • Assists with scheduling logistics and securing resources for vendor services
  • Gathers enters and maintains accurate event data and records

Required Qualifications:

- Ability to walk stand lift carry bend stoop and climb for the majority of the shift

including extended periods of continuous physical activities with to without an accommodation.

- Ability to lift and move supplies equipment and material regularly up to 50 lbs. and

occasionally up to 100 lbs. with or without an accommodation.

- Ability to move push and stack furniture regularly often in excess of 100 lbs. with or

without an accommodation.
