Job Summary
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Falmouth MA 02540
Schedule: Mixed Shifts (Days & Evenings)
- 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
- 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week (5 x 8-hour shifts)
Shift Type: Flex Shift
Work Setting: Long-Term Care Facility
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care in a long-term care setting. This role includes supervising nursing assistants and ensuring high-quality patient care in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and administer medications
- Supervise and guide nursing assistants
- Monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with admissions transfers and discharges
- Communicate with physicians and follow prescribed treatment plans
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV therapy catheterization and wound care
- Collect lab samples and monitor vital signs
- Ensure compliance with safety infection control and facility policies
- Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health management
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and supervise staff
Additional Information
- Prior experience in long-term care is preferred
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts is required
