Location: Västerås Sweden (100% on-site no remote work allowed)

Role Overview

We are hiring a Principal Electrical Engineer for one of our clients in Västerås. In this senior expert role you will independently lead complex electrical engineering tasks for high and medium voltage substations. You will prepare and review key substation documentation provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals support pre-FAT and FAT activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery in an international environment.

What Youll Do

• Prepare and review substation documentation (single line diagrams protection diagrams interlocking diagrams AC/DC drawings calculations control & protection panel drawings IED configurations cabling and BOMs)

• Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals and verify equipment/services

• Support technical activities during pre-FAT FAT installation and commissioning

• Collaborate with project managers primary design civil commissioning planners quality assurance and supply chain

• Coordinate major engineering tasks with substantial impact on projects

• Proactively improve operations and customer satisfaction

Who You Are

Must-Have Requirements:

• . Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience (including leadership/management) OR another technical degree with 15 years relevant experience

• Previous experience in engineering work related to High and Medium Voltage substations

• Willingness to work on international projects.

• Knowledge of substation control and protection systems

• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English (mandatory)

• Valid SSG-Entré certificate

• Ability to work 100% on-site in Västerås

Nice to Have:

• Experience with design software such as Elmaster E3 or AutoCAD

• Experience in international substation projects
