Job Summary
A reputable professional quantity surveying consultancy with a strong track record in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors is currently seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town team.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying function within a professional QS consultancy environment
- Prepare cost estimates budgets and tender documentation
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning
- Manage procurement processes and contract administration
- Evaluate contractor claims and variations
- Prepare and present financial reports to clients
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and comply with contractual requirements
- Liaise with clients consultants and project stakeholders
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying (BScQS)
- Must be professionally registered (e.g. PrQS)
- 8 to 10 years experience within a professional QS consultancy (non-negotiable; contractor experience will not be considered)
- Strong knowledge of cost management contracts and industry standards
- Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
