Data Steward

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Steward on behalf of our client to support the implementation and ongoing management of their data governance framework. Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of Data Governance and Data Management frameworks
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies standards and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and maintain data quality accuracy completeness and accessibility
• Collaborate with stakeholders data stewards and IT teams to enhance data management practices
• Assist in maintaining data dictionaries metadata repositories and business glossaries
• Identify data quality issues and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
• Promote data governance awareness and best practices across the organisation
• Support governance reporting audits and compliance monitoring activities

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Management or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in data governance data management data analytics or a related environment
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks data quality and data lifecycle management
• Understanding of data modelling data warehousing and data integration concepts is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• High attention to detail and integrity
