Employee Benefits Officer Operations

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Safety Health & Environment :

• Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities
• Act as a role model and reinforce a workplace culture where safety and health for the site is paramount.

Performance & Delivery:

Work Management

• Responsible and accountable for amongst other activities engagement of new-hire promotions transfer terminations allowances org. maintenance shift substations contractor engagement & termination management leave processing and Time & attendance
• Prepare and submit accurate time and attendance reports to managers
• Manage employee and data change rejections SAP vs T&A and vice versa
• Conduct systems and time management audits
• Ensure 24/7 uptime for Interface systems between SAP and T&A
• Manage interface systems between SAP & Time and attendance
• Ensure availability of standby for after hour support as per core conditions of employment
• Review pay slips to prevent overpayments to employees (company losses) and underpayments to employees (Labour unrest)
• Audit post capturing information (remuneration TM Pay)- this task is for central position only
• Communicate hardware and software changes to all stakeholders in order to ensure an understanding of business processes

• Execute delivery the sustainability activities as relevant to discipline and set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time
  • Comply with environmental and social requirements as relevant to discipline
• Act consistently with sustainability expectations

People & Teams

• Act in line and support a purpose-led high performing culture applying the company values and principles of inclusion and diversity

Compliance

• Adhere to Anglo American compliance requirements.
• Other requirements as assigned by your Manager.

Qualifications :

• Matric
• Passed T&A and TM specific training modules
• Computer literacy for role especially SAP TM

Experience

• At least two years discipline specific experience

Knowledge and Skills

• Operations: Knowledge of operational processes within scope of role
• Commercial: Documentation sign-off and approval processes
• Management: Risk management techniques and critical controls
• Compliance: Safety health and environment legislative statutory regulatory and permitting requirements
• Advanced: office administration skills and multi-tasking abilities.
• Advanced computer skills
• Advanced writing skills
• Advanced in the ability to use software to make mass changes to master data
• Advanced ability to generate ad hoc master data reports
• Advanced in the ability to pay attention to detail to minor details
• Management
• Data collection analysis and management for decision-making
