Intelligence Analyst II

Who We Are Looking ForCrisis24 is hiring an embedded intelligence analyst located in Cape Town South Africa to join our Embedded Intelligence Services division. Under the Crisis24 Program Managers general supervision the Intelligence Analyst II performs global threat monitoring intelligence analysis and production investigative research and disaster response support for one of Crisis24s most valued clients. This position requires shift work that includes regular weekend shifts and occasional holiday coverage. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid work schedule at Crisis24s Cape Town You Will Work OnMonitor for open-source information to identify threats and disasters (cyclones security incidents wildfires shootings earthquakes civil unrest etc.) that are likely to impact the clients operationsAnalyze and assess risks to the business by leveraging sensitive data and proprietary technology to gauge client impactWrite and disseminate clear analytical assessments in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight and competing tasks and prioritiesUtilize structured analytical techniques to deliver high-quality intelligence productsCollect and analyze data to deliver visualization products that provide clear impact and insightConduct detailed hyperlocal incident mapping in Google MyMaps utilizing advanced mapping techniquesCarry out extensive research during disaster events to assess impact scope duration demographics and deployed non government and government organizationsProvide administrative and operational support to the client to include participating in meetings project tracking and supporting partner outreachWho You Will Work WithThe analyst joins Crisis24s Embedded Intelligence Services division and will be embedded in an established eight-person follow-the-sun 24x7x365 team that spans four continents. The individual will collaborate with Crisis24 intelligence and security peers the dedicated team as well as the You Will BringBachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred2 to 4 years of experience in intelligence production research journalism disaster preparedness and response crisis management threat assessment incident response or a related field requiredDemonstrated experience writing clearly technically and concisely in a professional setting preferably in a fast-paced environmentAbility to collect data and synthesize incomplete and contradictory informationIntimate understanding of deriving information from social media platforms and online tools to conduct research and analysisSuperb judgment and critical thinkingGlobal awareness and understanding with appreciation in how geopolitical environmental and security threats can adversely affect a multinational organizationAbility to take initiative and identify self-improvement areas for own development and the teamEffective problem-solving and time-management skillsWorking knowledge of Google Earth and Maps or alternative mapping softwareForeign travel and experienceInformation SecurityProtect the data and systems of Crisis24 and its stakeholders by adhering to policies reporting incidents and potential problems completing regular training and identifying opportunities for 24 A GardaWorld Company is dedicated to equal opportunity in employment.
