CORPORATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

ABOUT ASSET MANAGEMENT
Asset Management is responsible for helping to maintain and enhance the stability and value of Marriott Internationals primary assets the long-term management and franchise agreements that govern the use of each of our brands and the management of hotel properties owned by third parties for the Continent. Asset Management ensures the execution of two aspects across APEC:
- Handling of hotel projects through the development life cycle (following deal closing through design construction and hotel opening) including working through business and contractual matters for new builds and conversions under all brands.
- For open hotels working to resolve contractual matters together with our Owners and execute contract amendments renewals and other material changes to our hotel agreements.
Asset Management must work with various business units including Legal Global Design Operations Development & Finance to assess and implement the optimal outcome for the company.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing a Bachelor degree.
- Ability to learn & understand hotel agreements & other legal documents.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Well versed in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm in the performance of responsibilities
- Good interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Ambitious highly motivated and an ability to thrive in a multi-tasking fast-paced environment and a high degree of accountability
GENERAL DUTIES
Main projects during internship include but not limited to the following:
- Assist in establishing contractual opening dates for partial openings based on the completion of construction milestones
- Assist in streamlining the process to update MI systems with Hotel information (Oasis).
- Assist in compiling information for hotel construction projects which were signed but remain on hold.
- Perform basic analysis using Excel and other relevant analytical tools.
- Create and format presentation decks using PowerPoint.
- Write articles or reports to describe initiatives and projects summarize findings and recommend plans of action.
- Coordinate data / information collection and collaborate with different teams.
- Manage projects from start to end effectively and independently.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of contractual information and follow company policies and procedures.
