GESS is looking to recruit a temporary staff to cover work in the school shop over the busy summer period (1-2 months / July to August).

This role will be an hourly paid part time role with S$16/hour.

Key Accountabilities:

Inventory

Help to check and maintain inventory management with guidance and supervision of the Shop assistant

Help to order and replenish items according to the approved quantity

Help to ensure sufficient supply across school for examination papers markers markers refill white board erasers and refills etc. Compulsory teaching and learning resources

Conduct stock take in the Storeroom and school shop during term breaks and reconcile the difference and provide a report

Ensure inventory and information in Shopify and Synergetic has been updated in a timely manner

Online school shop

Provide best quality of online service experience to customers

Maintain and update online school shop items information and categories

Check Shopify online shop for new orders print order list gather the items and send notification for parents to pick up

Sales

Open and close school shop account

Good communication with teachers students and parents and answer all the queries including replying all School Shop emails

Apply problem solving skills to assist different requests from stakeholders

Safeguarding the shop inventories and mitigate risks including avoid shoplifting and/or missing items

Comply all GESS Health and Safety regulations Code of Conduct and all related Policies in the School Shop management environment

Carry out daily reconciliation of sales reports vs actual receipts

Conduct regular market research and product analysis for management to review

General Administration

General operation of campus school shop and online school shop

Excellent reporting and analysis skills by using Excel Words etc.

Cover and support colleagues during busy and leave periods

Perform ad hoc projects or tasks allocated by Procurement Manager

Pipeline Projects

Be a partner of school to streamline internal process and form new policies and procedures

Assist in procurement/school shop related pipeline projects SOPs and policies such as Procurement Policy E-procurement tender process and change of system software or hardware etc.

Others

Other tasks duties or projects as assigned by Director of Operations and Customer Experience
