Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our clinical team in Ikeja Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ophthalmic care including medical and surgical management of eye conditions while ensuring excellent patient outcomes and adherence to best clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.
Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures with a high level of competence.
Provide specialist consultation and treatment plans for patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with clinical governance safety and regulatory standards.
Participate in continuous medical education and professional development.
Supervise and support junior medical staff where required.
Requirements & Qualifications
Fellowship of the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College (NPMCN) or the West African Postgraduate Medical College (WAPMC) or equivalent.
Must be a certified Ophthalmologist.
Current registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a valid practicing license.
Demonstrated ophthalmic medical and surgical competencies.
Proficiency in Medical Retina (added advantage).
