the Engineering Manager is someone that we trust in and to whom we delegate the successful delivery of a service from planning to ongoing operations. As an Engineering Manager your focus will be managing and supporting the teams at all levels. Being a leader means that youll need to ensure that at the same time the teams are growing and developing their knowledge as a team and as individuals and enjoying the work and be proud to be part of Volkswagen Group Digital Solutions Portugal.
As a leader you should have a solid background and leadership skills so youll be prepared to work on the teams strategy and implementation of valuable ideas as well as continuously challenge your team members.
Youll be focused on:
Acting as a trusted partner for stakeholders;
Aligning activities with business goals and strategic priorities;
Identifying risks dependencies and improvement opportunities;
Understanding stakeholders needs and identifying potential commercial leads;
Leading and develop high-performing teams;
Ensuring effective workforce planning aligned with project needs;
Managing team budgets planning and forecasting.
In order to succeed you will need:
Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role;
Strong background in technology/software engineering environments;
Experience in stakeholder management;
Business-oriented mindset and ability to spot commercial opportunities;
Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory);
Availability for occasional travel to Germany and India;
Experience in cross-cultural or international environments is a plus.
