As a Collateral Service Specialist IV in Collateral Release Team you will help ensure collateral is released accurately and within regulatory timeframes following loan payoff and business release requests. You will review loan transactions and supporting documentation resolve inquiries from business partners and uphold quality and control standards. You will collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to drive process improvements and automation while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and service.
Job responsibilities:
- Review loan transactions and supporting documentation to confirm required collateral and regulatory documents are complete for release processing
- Process collateral releases in line with defined regulatory timeframes and internal controls
- Validate documentation accuracy and identify missing incorrect or inconsistent items for remediation
- Resolve inquiries from business partners and officers with clear timely updates
- Follow standard operating procedures and support timely updates when processes change
- Document actions taken and outcomes to support auditability and quality standards
- Escalate risks exceptions and potential control gaps to appropriate stakeholders
- Maintain adherence to Quality Control standards and performance expectations
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure consistent service delivery across volumes and priorities
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline work and reduce rework
- Support process automation initiatives by sharing requirements and participating in testing/feedback
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years of relevant experience in banking operations lending operations or a similar regulated environment
- Experience reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy in an operations setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different levels of an organization
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize effectively and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support night shift schedules as required
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience in loan processing and/or collateral processing
- Experience working with standard operating procedures and control/quality frameworks
- Experience handling service inquiries and issue resolution in an operations role
- Experience participating in process improvement initiatives (for example root cause analysis lean improvements)
- Familiarity with documentation controls supporting audits and regulatory expectations
- Experience working in a high-volume deadline-driven processing environment
- Exposure to automation or workflow tools used in operations teams
