About the team
The Naval Industry team is responsible and accountable for the on-time production and delivery of the Thales Naval products within in cost and first-time right. To realize this the Naval Industry team is strongly and closely cooperating with the other departments (e.g. Engineering Procurement Product Segments) within Thales Naval. As Thales Naval we foster a strong growth in demand to our products and to secure this growth the Industry organization needs to increase their focus on Digital Technology.

Digital Technology Technician

About the job
As Digital Technology Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our Digital Technology tools we use in our production lines and our products. The variety of these tools are broad: applications server cabinets network devices tablets smart screwdrivers cobot/robot etc.

In this position you will be part of the Digital Technology team within the Industry Operations department.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Implement and maintain our IS/IT desktop and server networks
• Install and configure software and operating systems
• Create dualboot systems with Redhat and Windows
• Administrate the technical IS/IT (infrastructure) solutions (network drawings ip lists etc)
• Find and solve network issues (switches vlan multicast)
• Implement solution on virtual platforms such as VMware
• Support Industry 4.0 and Smart Industry initiatives
• Actively team with the IS/IT department

About You:

• MBO/HBO working and thinking level towards IT or similar.
• Experience with network management both hardware and software.
• Knowledge of dual boot configurations Redhat Linux and Windows 11.
• Experience working with switches (VLANs multicast) and network solutions on 10Gbit.
• Experience with VMware and setting up virtual machines for various (legacy) operating systems.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work constructively with internal departments.
• Independent solution-oriented and accurate in administration.
