In a nutshell

Own an end to end project in a real production environment as an integral part of one of our teams. At Picnic your skills will be taken to the next level with the latest tech! And our diverse set of projects will keep you challenged and motivated. From optimizing large-scale vehicle routing with advanced solver technologies to productionizing AI-driven quality gates in our release pipelines youll work on problems that directly impact our operations. You might even find yourself building robust testing frameworks for automated warehouse systems bridging the gap between software and real-world logistics.

• Drive: With a strong motivation to learn and improve youll take ownership of a project while working closely with your colleagues to grow and develop your skills.
• Contribution: Youll learn how to design test and improve key aspects of our operations with plenty of mentorship along the way. Youll also have the opportunity to take ownership of a project bringing both creativity and analytical thinking to the table.

Backend: Java25 Python Springboot MongoDB

With a chance to get experience working with Solvers (such as Timefold) SQL protocol buffers and other cutting edge tooling!

Were looking for

• You just finished or are about to finish your Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Information Technology Computer Engineering or a related technical field
• You have EU nationality (note that a Working Visa or University Visa is not sufficient for this Summer Internship)
• A collaborative mindset ready to engage with the team and seek out new opportunities for improvement.
• Motivated to challenge the status quo and drive innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Your English skills are on point (no Dutch required)
