Job Summary
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a high-volume manufacturing environment (Automotive industry is strongly preferred).
Proven Track Record: Experience in managing large-scale equipment installations major overhauls or launch projects.
- PLC Programming: Advanced proficiency in Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation) or Siemens (Ford predominantly uses Allen Bradley/Logix5000). Must be able to modify code troubleshoot complex logic and integrate new hardware.
- Robotics: Deep knowledge of FANUC ABB or KUKA robots (programming mastering and path optimization).
- CMMS Mastery: Expert-level use of Maintenance Management Systems specifically IBM Maximo (which is the Ford global standard) for managing work orders spare parts and PM schedules.
- Predictive Maintenance (PdM): Experience with vibration analysis thermography ultrasound and oil analysis tools.
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance): Practical experience implementing TPM pillars to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Technical Drawing: Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical hydraulic and pneumatic schematics (AutoCAD/EPLAN).
Responsibilities
Position Duties:
Responsible for FTPM activities within the department
Coordinate and plan maintenance actions. Preventive Planned and Crisis Maintenance.
Ensure all safety standards are met during maintenance activities.
Optimization of current production processes
Coaching plants in continuous improvement standardization and lean concepts
Assisting plants in addressing equipment down time issues
Developing preventative / predictive maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime
Training and education of plant personnel and leadership
Providing input on new equipment design and purchase
Supporting new model / equipment launch as required
Lead quality related actions that imply machine reliability improvements.
Be point of contact to Plant Engineering local vendors and commodity suppliers regarding equipment issues.
Drive maintenence cost and budget control.
Drive Maintenance metrics within the department.
Issue regular reports on maintenance metrics
Ensure all areas operate to FPS tools and FTPM innitiatives.
Motivate teams to provide ideas to improve equipment availability and document in R&M reports.
Support and coach problem solving activities within the department mainly focused on Realibility and Maintenability.
Coordinate Maintenance Planning and Shutdown Planning actions within the department.
Support Work Group and Department meetings regarding equipment improvement and JPH actions.
Participate actively in JPH Roadmap reviews.
Provide technical assistance to personnel and areas where necessary.
Identify training needs for skilled employees coordinate training plan for the department.
Work with CORA MAXIMO QLSCM POSMON and any other required system.
Coordinate skilled personnel during breakdowns to fix the issue with the minimal disturbance on production. Ensure resources are planned during the line breaks.
Participate in interplant benchmarking exercises
Actively participate in Simultaneous Engineering meetings Forward Planning and Product Design to ensure Maintenability standards are followed.
Qualifications
Preferred Requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering Industrial or Electrical / Automation engineering preferred. Equivalent experience accepted
Experience: 3-5 years experience in manufacturing; stamping experience preferred
Robot / interpress transfer (ABB / Fanuc / Gudel)
Stamping / press equipment
Vision experience strongly preferred (Cognex)
PLC competency.
