ROLE SUMMARY:

AT AIM the Teacher plays a central role in delivering high-quality learning experiences that inspire challenge and support all students to achieve their full potential. Teachers are responsible for creating safe inclusive and engaging classrooms that align with SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública) requirements AIMs curriculum Inspireds educational philosophy and the schools safeguarding standards. This position requires effective lesson planning delivery of engaging instruction assessment of student progress and ongoing collaboration with colleagues parents and the wider school community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students and are in line with the schools curriculum policies and external assessment requirements. You will individualise and differentiate learning ensuring each student is stretched supported and makes outstanding progress.
  • Supporting and Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students in-class and at-home learning providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students are challenged and supported in reaching their potential.
  • Building a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each others flourishing feel valued and supported and are ready to take risks in their learning.
  • Collaborating and Sharing Best Practices: Work closely with colleagues as an active member of our learning community sharing best practices collaborating with colleagues and dedicating yourself to your own professional development to ensure the highest standard of education for our students.
  • Contributing to School Life: Play an active role in the schools co-curricular programme helping to create a well-rounded enriching educational experience. From leading clubs to contributing to whole school initiatives you will help shape the broader life of the school.
  • Collaborating with Parents: Maintain open and constructive communication with parents building strong partnerships that support students progress so that each child feels like an individual well-known and respected.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A genuine passion for education with the ability to engage motivate and positively impact young people.
  • A proven track record of excellence in personal academic and professional achievements.
  • In-depth expertise in and passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
  • Expertise in assessing student progress providing targeted feedback and enhancing student performance including in external assessments.
  • Experience in providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing with a strong focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently and a track record of establishing strong positive relationships with families.
  • A commitment to their own continuous professional development.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills able to plan and prioritise a varied workload meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • PGCE QTS or equivalent with excellent academic credentials and ideally evidence of post-graduate study.
  • Energy enthusiasm and a positive flexible and resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
