Job Summary
Role Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting financial reporting within a fast-paced fintech environment. The role requires strong attention to detail understanding of digital financial systems and the ability to work with high-volume transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including ledgers journals and
reconciliations.
Manage daily transaction postings including digital payments transfers and platform-based revenue streams.
Perform bank and wallet reconciliations to ensure accuracy between internal systems and financial institutions.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations tax laws and fintech-specific policies.
Monitor and analyze financial performance identifying trends and discrepancies.
Support audits by preparing required documentation and reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely processing of invoices and
payments.
Collaborate with product operations and tech teams to improve financial processes and system efficiency.
Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities.
Ensure proper documentation and controls for all financial transactions.
Requirements
Key Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g. ACCA ICA CPA) is an advantage.
3 years of accounting experience (fintech banking or tech environment is a plus).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Experience with accounting software and digital payment platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills:
