Software Engineer Intern Openshift Observability (Brno office, Czech Republic)

The Red Hat Observability Intelligence team is looking for a Software Engineer intern to work with us in person in Brno Czech this role you will work with a team developing and contributing to Red Hats leading hybrid cloud platform OpenShift. Youll contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle with a primary focus on automation and testing. If you have an interest and passion you can easily expand into areas like software development or security. You will learn how our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality standards. As a Software Engineer intern you will gain a deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies like Containers Kubernetes Red Hat OpenShift etc.

Red Hats Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience combining professional development networking opportunities social engagement and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office typically lasting 12 months with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week with flexible working hours and the expected start date is July 1st.

What you will do:

• In day-to-day close cooperation with your team members in a global agile environment you will drive the successful delivery and operations of our services and products.

• Design develop and maintain automation frameworks scripts and performance benchmarking tools with Golang and Python.

• Contribute to and develop automated processes to streamline the testing and deployment processes of the developed components.

• Conduct new feature research and design test cases.

What you will bring:

• You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelors 3rd/4th year or Masters) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.

• Working knowledge of written and spoken English

• Passion for streamlining teams way of working

• Focus on customer value and perspective

• Motivation to learn testing methodologies and techniques and CI/CD tools

• Knowledge of the Linux operating system (any distribution)

• Knowledge of the Git software version system

• Programming skills in Go Python or another programming language

• Openness to applying AI tooling in your day-to-day activities

The following are considered a plus:

• Knowledge of Linux containers (Docker/Podman) Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure
