Job Description:
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Drivers for a well-established Dublin-based breakdown and recovery service company. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking a stable role with a structured shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy goods vehicles (up to 44 tonnes) safely and efficiently
- Transport vehicles equipment or goods as required (breakdown/recovery operations)
- Carry out roadside assistance and recovery tasks when needed
- Secure loads in compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain accurate records using digital tachograph systems
- Follow all road safety laws and company procedures
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers
Requirements
- Valid HGV Licence (Category C or CE)
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations
- Ability to work long shifts including nights
- Strong reliability and professionalism
Working Conditions
- 12-hour shifts (day and night rotation required)
- 4 days on / 4 days off schedule
- Mix of local and regional work
- Fast-paced environment including emergency response situations
