Job Summary
Occupli is currently partnering with a leading FMCG client to recruit a skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing manufacturing environment ideally suited to candidates with experience in food processingparticularly meat or fish production.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all plant equipment and systems supporting production through proactive and reactive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspections and execute preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs across mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems
- Develop implement and continuously improve preventative maintenance schedules
- Work closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise downtime
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and documentation
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance work
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in full compliance with health safety and regulatory standards
- Support the training and development of junior maintenance personnel
- Utilise the site CMMS system to manage work orders and maintenance planning
- Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging maintenance technologies
Requirements
Required Skills:
Proven experience in a maintenance role within an manufacturing processing environment (FMCG experience highly desirable) Strong technical expertise across mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems Demonstrated experience in fault finding troubleshooting and equipment repair Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance Strong communication and teamwork abilities
