We are seeking a commercially-minded and dynamic Business Studies Teacher to join a forward-thinking Social Sciences faculty in Romford. With its famous historic market and its status as one of the largest commercial and retail hubs in the South East Romford is the perfect environment for a teacher who wants to bring real-world business to life. We are looking for an educator who can navigate the complexities of global markets finance and marketing while fostering a genuine can-do spirit in their students.


Core Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Planning and facilitating high-quality Business lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The ability to teach A-Level Business and/or BTEC National Level 3 is essential.

  • Vocational & Academic Success: Guiding students through the rigours of external examinations (AQA Edexcel or OCR) and internal vocational assessments ensuring high-level evaluation and application skills.

  • Corporate Theory: Delivering expert instruction on core business pillars: Marketing Finance Operations and Human Resources while integrating contemporary case studies (from local startups to global giants like Amazon and Tesla).

  • Enterprise Advocacy: Leading school-wide enterprise challenges Dragons Den style competitions and fostering links with local Romford businesses to provide students with authentic industry insights.

  • Economic Literacy: Helping students understand the wider economic climate including the impact of inflation interest rates and global trade on business decision-making.

  • Pastoral Care: Serving as a dedicated Form Tutor providing a supportive environment and acting as a consistent point of professional contact for students and their families.
