Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a local authority in Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Case Manager Supported Housing on a 6.5-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.47 - 17.82 per hour

Summary:

The Case Manager (Supported Housing) is responsible for providing high-quality responsive housing and support services to tenants within a safe and secure community environment. Overseeing a portfolio of approximately 140160 tenancies the role ensures that landlord duties are discharged in full compliance with Somerset Councils policies housing regulations and statutory procedures. The primary focus is to encourage tenant independence and choice while effectively managing social housing properties and communal areas across several sheltered housing schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of social housing properties and lead on taking legal action for tenancy breaches including injunctive or possession proceedings.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of a tenancy from pre-tenancy onboarding and property viewings to supporting tenants when they exit a property.
  • Conduct regular home visits and serve as the primary point of contact for housing enquiries recording all interactions on the Open Housing System.
  • Undertake person-centered risk assessments and create Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns in strict accordance with council policies to ensure the safety of all residents.

Qualifications:

  • A level standard of education or equivalent qualification.

Essentials:

  • At least two years of experience in housing management providing direct support to tenants within a local authority or similar regulatory environment.
  • Experience working with diverse partners and communities to develop innovative ways of working.
  • Strong knowledge of introductory and secure tenancies and their management.
  • Deep understanding of data protection principles (GDPR) and customer service values regarding equality diversity and inclusion.
  • A full UK driving License
