Homelessness Reviews Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in City of Westminster to assist with the appointment of a Homelessness Reviews Officer on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 22.57 - 29.77 per hour

Summary:

The Homelessness Reviews Officer role focuses on delivering high-quality statutory reviews across homelessness decisions the housing register and temporary accommodation suitability.

The successful candidate will manage a varied and complex caseload ensuring all decisions are lawful fair and completed within required timescales. This position requires strong legislative knowledge sound judgement and a customer-focused approach driven by empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Complete statutory homelessness reviews including housing register and temporary accommodation suitability reviews
• Ensure all decisions comply with homelessness legislation statutory guidance and council policies
• Manage a complex caseload independently progressing cases efficiently
• Liaise with service users colleagues and partner agencies via email telephone and face-to-face
• Accurately record all case activity on case management systems and relevant documentation
• Gather assess and analyse information to support robust and defensible decisions

Essentials:

• Background in statutory decision-making roles within local authorities or similar organisations
• Proven experience completing homelessness reviews (mandatory)
• Experience in housing register and temporary accommodation suitability reviews (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and related policies
• Experience in statutory decision-making within housing/homelessness

• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
