Location: Bristol UK
Approach: Hybrid Remote typically 2-3 days per week in the office

Rosenxt is revolutionizing subsea robotics and autonomous systems and were building a world-class engineering team at our Bristol location to drive this innovation forward. At Rosenxt we are looking for a hands-on and proactive Robotics Technician to support the development and deployment of our autonomous subsea robotics systems.
As a Robotics Technician you will work closely with our Bristol-based R&D team supporting the integration of cutting-edge autonomy software into commercial off-the-shelf ROV platforms. This role bridges the gap between software development and real-world operations ensuring that new technologies are successfully integrated tested and transitioned into offshore environments.
This is a year-round onshore-focused role supporting continuous R&D activities prototyping and testing. The role will also include occasional offshore deployments for technology demonstrations and validation trials.
What you can expect
Support the integration of autonomy software into commercial ROV systems working closely with software and robotics engineers
Assist in the mechanical and electrical integration of new sensors payloads and subsystems onto ROV platforms
Design build and modify cable assemblies connectors and subsea-rated components
Support vehicle setup and modification including buoyancy ballast and mechanical adjustments
Contribute to the design and manufacture of bespoke parts and fixtures for sensor and system integration
Prepare and support onshore testing campaigns including test tanks lakes and controlled environments
Assist with field trials and technology demonstrations including occasional offshore deployments
Provide practical feedback to R&D teams to improve system robustness usability and performance
Support the transition of technology from R&D to real-world offshore operations including collaboration with Aberdeen-based operational teams
Maintain troubleshoot and repair ROV systems and associated equipment
Take ownership of workshop and vehicle readiness ensuring high standards of reliability and equipment care
Ensure all activities are conducted with the highest standards of Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE)
What you bring
Experience in a Robotics Technician or similar hands-on technical role (subsea marine or robotics preferred)
Strong hands-on skills in: Mechanical assembly and modification; Electrical integration and wiring; Cable splicing cable diagrams soldering potting
Experience integrating sensors or payloads onto robotic or subsea platforms
Experience in maintenance and repair of complex systems
Ability to read and work from technical drawings schematics and integration plans
A proactive self-starting mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to test iterate and improve systems
Good communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback to engineering teams
Willingness to travel (UK and internationally) and support offshore activities when required
UK Driving License
Desirable Skills:
Practical experience with ROV systems (e.g. inspection-class or work-class vehicles such as Videoray Rovtech Saab Seaeye Argus systems)
Experience working in R&D or prototype environments
Familiarity with autonomous systems or robotics software integration
Experience with CAD 3D printing or light fabrication (Solidworks)
Existing offshore certifications (e.g. BOSIET/FOET OGUK/OEUK medical survival at sea) or willingness to complete
Basic understanding of networking Linux systems or robotics frameworks (e.g. ROS/ROS2)
Familiarity with writing/evaluating risk assessments and maintaining safe user operations
