The Role
We are seeking a Content Editor to join FT Lives growing Energy Commodities and Climate portfolio. This role will take ownership of 2-4 events annually - including flagship programmes such as the Energy Transition Asia Summit - while supporting the wider portfolio as it continues to expand globally.
You will be responsible for shaping high-quality commercially successful event programmes across in-person digital and hybrid formats. Working closely with FT editorial commercial marketing and production teams you will ensure content is insightful engaging and aligned with the FTs journalistic standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Research develop and deliver innovative high-quality programmes for multi-sponsor B2B events
- Collaborate with FT editorial teams to ensure content quality and relevance
- Identify invite and confirm high-calibre speakers across industry policy and academia
- Partner with FT journalists to support moderation and session delivery
- Work closely with sponsorship teams to align content with commercial objectives
- Develop editorial proposals and contribute to sponsorship sales materials and pitches
- Collaborate with project management teams to support seamless event delivery and content production
- Produce compelling marketing copy for campaigns advertisements and promotional materials
- Support social media content planning and delivery pre- and post-event
- Contribute to live event delivery including speaker liaison and live content output
- Produce post-event materials such as summaries and speaker communications
- Leverage and digital content to enhance event output and audience engagement
- Conduct market research and contribute to the development of new event concepts
Required Skills and Experience
- Approximately 2 years experience (or equivalent) in conference production or events (B2B)
- Proven ability to launch new events and grow existing portfolios
- Strong research writing and content development skills
- Excellent project management and organisational abilities
- Confident communicator with strong written and spoken English
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Commercial awareness and understanding of sponsorship-driven content
- Strong interest in global business energy commodities and climate topics
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international environment
- Adaptable proactive and comfortable navigating change and innovation
Desirable
- Experience working with editorial teams or journalists
- Familiarity with digital and hybrid event formats
- Knowledge of global energy transition and climate policy landscapes
