We are now looking for a Senior Product Designer (UX)to join ourProduct & Engineering team on a12 month FTC. You will deliver innovative advertising solutions that align with business goals while protecting the Guardians editorial integrity and reader trust.

About the Role

  • Design user journeys flows and wireframes that enhance advertising effectiveness while maintaining a high-quality user experience
  • Lead testing and optimisation of ad formats layouts and interactions to improve both user experience and commercial performance
  • Collaborate closely with Product Engineering Data Editorial and Commercial teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Advocate for UX best practices across competing priorities including editorial advertising and compliance
  • Contribute to the long-term UX vision for commercial products balancing user trust commercial performance and feasibility

About You

  • Proven experience designing digital products within commercial advertising or ad-supported environments
  • Strong portfolio showcasing work on complex constraint-driven products across web and mobile
  • Deep understanding of interaction design usability accessibility and information architecture
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across teams
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of how design impacts revenue and user engagement

Youll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days. Our pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8-12% (depending on your age).
