Our Client a Karachi based company seeks to appoint an experienced and seasoned professional for the following role:

CHIEF STRATEGY AND TRANSFORMATION OFFICER

This role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the companys corporate strategy while driving enterprise-wide transformation and business process reengineering initiatives. The position will play a key role in aligning strategic priorities with operational execution to enhance organizational effectiveness and long-term competitiveness. Additionally the role will oversee strategic growth initiatives including mergers and acquisitions joint ventures and strategic partnerships to support sustainable value creation and expand the companys market opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the companys corporate strategy driving strategic initiatives and partnerships that strengthen the organizations long-term competitive advantage.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the planning design and implementation of innovative business solutions by defining clear vision strategies and tactical initiatives that respond effectively to evolving market dynamics. Develop and recommend roadmaps for technological advancement automation and new revenue generation opportunities.
  • Drive enterprise-wide business transformation and re-engineering initiatives while ensuring minimal disruption to core operations. Establish and manage both financial and cultural transformation metrics to monitor progress and outcomes.
  • Evaluate and review non-core business activities including planning and executing restructuring wind-down or closure strategies to reduce operational complexity costs and organizational risk.
  • Oversee the development of new corporate ventures and strategic investments with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Lead M&A initiatives including market research industry and competitor analysis financial modelling valuation and strategic projections.
  • Lead strategic due diligence processes and support the investment team in negotiations and the successful execution of investment transactions.
  • Serve as a key strategic advisor to senior leadership on developments within the competitive landscape global markets and the broader external business environment.
  • Ensure effective implementation of strategic initiatives across all corporate functions establishing robust performance metrics to track progress toward strategic objectives.
  • Engage with external industry leaders partners and subject-matter experts to gather insights shape strategic direction and proactively identify emerging opportunities and risks across relevant sectors.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture by clearly communicating the companys vision and strategy implementing staff development initiatives and providing mentorship to build organizational capability.
  • Perform other strategic or leadership responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Education Skills & Experience:

Minimum 16 years of education preferably Masters from a renowned and HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder institution in any or combination of the disciplines of Engineering Marketing Business Administration qualification.

Preferably 16 18 years of professional experience in a large national/multinational organization with at least 7 years of related functional experience in a similar role at a senior equivalent position or one position below.

Proven experience in corporate strategy development business transformation innovation management and strategic planning.

Strong understanding of innovation ecosystems digital transformation emerging technologies and automation strategies.

Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency.

Candidates having experience in the energy sector and managing ancillary value-added businesses such as non-fuel retail and convenience stores will be preferred.
