about the position
The Integrity Engineer is part of the Discipline Engineering team within Chevrons ENGINE and provides technical support across the enterprise through the use of quantitative analysis tools to establish cost-competitive risk-based inspection strategies for fixed equipment. This role supports producing businesses capital projects and new technology projects to help improve fixed equipment integrity and meet business or project reliability objectives.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop fixed equipment asset strategies utilizing experience and corporate procedures for upstream and downstream operations.
Execute revalidations of existing fixed equipment asset strategies after the maximum allowable time major maintenance or unplanned events.
Support integrity data management system deployments and ongoing programs.
Identify high-consequence integrity-critical equipment utilizing corporate process.
Support incident investigations to determine root causes and develop defect-elimination recommendations and plans across diverse asset classes in upstream and downstream operations.

To be considered for this role applicants should have:
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of industry experience
- Experience with quantitative Risk-Based Inspection methodologies based on API 581 principles.
- Proficient in industry Integrity Database Management Systems (e.g. GE Predix Meridium PCMS Visions etc.).
- Experience supporting inspection programs at an operating petrochemical plant.
- API 510 570 and/or 580 certifications CWI certification or equivalent inspection certificate.
- Bachelors degree in engineering from a recognized (AICTE) university.
- Proven experience developing inspection strategies for fixed equipment including piping pressure vessels reactors heat exchangers etc.
- Proven experience assessing damage mechanisms recommending metallurgies and nondestructive inspection techniques for fixed equipment in the petrochemical industry.
