Job Summary
As a Securities Services P&A Finance Analytics Associate youll work with the Finance and Tech team to generate thoughtful analytics . Build and enhance Tableau/Sigma /Power BI dashboards (requirements KPI definitions data validation design deployment) using platforms like Databricks and alike focused on CFO ready decisioning.
Within Financial Analysis domain you will analyze prepare and reconcile accounting and technical data as well as prepare reports In addition you will assist the department and other team members with special projects or components of other projects as needed including financial control forecasting and budgeting analysis of financial/business metrics delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing developing architecting restructuring and defining the data (and metadata) needed to drive business execution and analytics.
Planning managing and implementing end to end solutions for data infrastructure and data products
- Analyze prepare and reconcile accounting and technical data; investigate anomalies and ensure alignment to source systems and finance controls.
- Creating financial business cases supporting business initiatives
- Reporting on and monitoring key metrics driving data quality initiatives across the product area and helping define future needs of the product area
- Developing and tracking performance metrics creating presentations and providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management (including ad hoc reporting)
- Performing variance analysis to understand key drivers of results and presenting commentary to senior managers explaining changes from prior forecasts and budgets
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a technical discipline
- 3 years of total experience within MIS Business Intelligence and/or Analytics roles
- Must be proficient in SQL query writing. Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: AWS or Databricks Oracle/SQL Server/Teradata Tableau/Cognos/BO SAS/R
- Must be proficient in one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL Data Modeling Reporting Automation and/or Dashboarding
- Apply strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL Python R).
- Self-starter team player good communication skills be proactive in asking help when needed
- Ability to take cues/guidance and solve problems independently
- Strong attention to detail with ability to understand and communicate bigger picture
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Inquisitive enthusiastic and diligent; capable of constructively challenging peers
- Proven track record of executing special projects/assignments with limited lead time or information
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization; able to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines
Preferred qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in financial analysis domain.
- Bachelors degree required; concentration in IT CS Finance or Business preferred. Experience with LLM/AI solutions would be added advantage
- BI / reporting skills preferably in Tableau or ThoughtSpot. Experience with migration of BI projects is an added advantage
- AWS Databricks Snowflake or other Cloud Data Warehouse experience.
