Release Manager

THE POSITION:

We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to oversee and coordinate software releases across multiple teams and environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in release management processes hands-on experience using Jira and proven experience working closely with software development or product development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan schedule and manage end-to-end software releases across multiple projects
• Work closely with software development and product teams to ensure smooth release cycles
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development QA DevOps and business stakeholders
• Define and maintain release calendars and ensure alignment across teams
• Track release progress risks and dependencies using Jira
• Ensure all release deliverables meet quality standards and timelines
• Manage release documentation including release notes and deployment plans
• Identify and mitigate risks issues and bottlenecks in the release cycle
• Facilitate go/no-go meetings and ensure stakeholder sign-offs
• Drive continuous improvement in release management processes and tools
• Ensure compliance with change management and governance standards

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• 5 years of experience in Release Management or similar role
• Proven experience working closely with software development or product development teams
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira (dashboards workflows reporting)
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Experience managing releases in complex multi-team environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously
• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tools like Confluence CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitLab)
• Knowledge of ITIL or change management frameworks
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP)
• Certification in Agile/Scrum (e.g. Scrum Master SAFe) is a plus
