Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer with expertise in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and PCB assembly processes. The candidate will be responsible for developing optimizing and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and optimize SMT manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain programs for:
- SMT Printer (solder paste printing)
- Pick and Place machines
- Reflow oven profiling
- AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems
- AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection) systems
- Selective soldering machines
- Set up and optimize wave soldering processes.
- Manage and improve conformal coating processes.
- Operate and maintain PCB cleaning machines to ensure product reliability.
- Perform reflow profiling to ensure optimal solder joint quality.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct BGA rework and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze defects yield data and process performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with production quality and maintenance teams to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards and company quality requirements.
- Prepare process documentation work instructions and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelors degree in Electronics Electrical or related field.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SMT programming (Printer Pick & Place)
- Reflow profiling
- AOI programming
- Selective soldering
- Wave soldering
- Conformal coating
- PCB cleaning systems
- BGA rework
- Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and defect analysis.
- Experience with process optimization and yield improvement.
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g. IPC-A-610).
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience: 36 years in SMT/PCB manufacturing
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with: o SMT programming (Printer Pick & Place) o Reflow profiling o AOI programming o Selective soldering o Wave soldering o Conformal coating o PCB cleaning systems o BGA rework Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and defect analysis. Experience with process optimization and yield improvement. Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g. IPC-A-610). Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Required Education:
Diploma / Bachelors degree in Electronics Electrical or related field.
