Job Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer (Java react) you will play a critical role in building evolving and scaling high-quality software systems. You will work hands-on with Java-based backend systems influence technical direction and help establish best engineering practices while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong Java expertise sound engineering judgment and a passion for building reliable maintainable and scalable systems.

Be an influencer in our developer community co-evolving our culture and architecture enabling us to scale both the product and the teams in a safe and meaningful manner.
Advocate and advance modern software development practices and help develop and promote great engineering and organizational practices.
Work with people in other parts of the organization to promote improvements goals and roadmaps.
Work hands-on to demonstrate techniques and model good practice and to remain grounded in the problems faced by team members in building and shipping high-quality code at a sustainable pace.
Work with engineers product owners and designers.
Contribute to the growth of our development capability.
Own and improve the internal quality of our system.
Craft fast-running automated tests to verify your work and that of your team.

You have 5 years of experience working hands-on as a Software Engineer in an agile environment being well-versed in agile and lean principles and experienced at the continuous delivery of value.

You actively invest in your technical skills.

What you bring to the team:

Backend Development Skills

Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles
Experience with Spring / Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs
Understanding of microservices architecture and API integration
Experience with ORM frameworks (e.g. Hibernate/JPA)
Good knowledge of database design SQL and relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL)
Ability to write performant secure and maintainable backend code

Frontend Development Skills

Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6)
Proficiency in HTML5 CSS3 and responsive UI development
Experience with frontend state management (e.g. Redux Context API)
Familiarity with component-based architecture and reusable UI patterns
Understanding of frontend performance optimization and accessibility basics

Testing & Quality Engineering

Experience with automated testing (unit integration and/or component testing)
Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit Mockito Jest React Testing Library)
Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and continuous testing practices
Strong focus on code quality maintainability and refactoring

DevOps & Tooling

Experience working in a CI/CD environment
Familiarity with build and version control tools (e.g. Maven/Gradle Git)
Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) is a plus
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) is preferred
Understanding of 12-factor application principles

Engineering & Ways of Working

Strong understanding of Agile and Lean principles
Experience working in cross-functional collaborative teams
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across the stack
Understanding of evolutionary design and continuous improvement
Exposure to Extreme Programming (XP) practices is a bonus
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity is a plus
