Project Manager
Job Summary
Role Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning implementing monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure timely delivery quality outcomes and alignment with organizational goals. The role requires strong leadership coordination and stakeholder engagement skills to manage multi-sectoral projects in humanitarian and development contexts.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Implementation
Lead the design planning and execution of project activities in line with donor requirements and organizational strategy.
Develop detailed work plans budgets and timelines for project delivery.
Ensure compliance with donor regulations organizational policies and local laws.
Monitoring Evaluation & Reporting
Establish and oversee project monitoring frameworks indicators and data collection systems.
Prepare high-quality progress reports donor reports and internal updates.
Conduct regular project reviews and evaluations to measure impact and identify lessons learned.
Financial & Resource Management
Manage project budgets ensuring cost-effectiveness and accountability.
Oversee procurement and logistics related to project implementation.
Ensure proper documentation and financial reporting in collaboration with the finance team.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
Supervise and mentor project staff providing guidance and performance feedback.
Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives for staff and community stakeholders.
Promote teamwork collaboration and a positive working environment.
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors government agencies community leaders and partner organizations.
Represent the organization in coordination meetings workshops and external forums.
Advocate for project goals and ensure alignment with community needs.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify and mitigate risks that may affect project delivery.
Ensure adherence to safeguarding gender and inclusion policies.
Uphold accountability standards and ethical practices in all project activities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Project Management Development Studies Public Administration or related field (Masters preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects in the NGO/humanitarian sector.
Proven experience in donor-funded project management (e.g. USAID EU UN agencies).
Strong knowledge of project cycle management (PCM) monitoring & evaluation (M&E) and financial management.
Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages is an asset.

Required Skills:
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Logistics Transport Management Business Administration or related field. Minimum of 35 years experience in fleet management or logistics operations. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance transport regulations and fleet tracking systems. Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management software. Excellent organizational problem-solving and communication skills. Experience working in South Sudan or East Africa is an added advantage. Competency High integrity and ethical standards.
