Supply Chain Manager
Job Summary
Role Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee all procurement logistics warehousing and distribution functions to ensure efficient transparent and compliant supply chain operations. This role is critical in supporting program delivery safeguarding resources and ensuring that humanitarian and development projects are implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Compliance
Lead procurement planning and execution in line with donor regulations and organizational policies.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring fair and transparent supplier selection.
Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines ethical standards and anti-fraud measures.
Logistics & Distribution
Manage transportation and distribution of goods to field sites and beneficiaries.
Oversee fleet management including vehicle allocation maintenance and fuel tracking.
Ensure timely delivery of supplies to support program activities.
Warehousing & Inventory Management
Supervise warehouse operations including stock control storage and security.
Implement inventory management systems to track goods and supplies.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and accountability of stock records.
Strategic Planning & Coordination
Develop supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements.
Coordinate with program teams to forecast supply needs and align procurement plans.
Contribute to contingency planning for emergency response and rapid deployment.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
Supervise and mentor supply chain staff providing training and performance feedback.
Build capacity of field logistics teams to strengthen compliance and efficiency.
Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.
Risk Management & Safeguarding
Identify and mitigate risks in procurement logistics and warehousing.
Ensure adherence to safeguarding gender and inclusion policies in supply chain operations.
Uphold accountability standards and ethical practices in all supply chain activities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or related field (Masters preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain/logistics management preferably in the NGO/humanitarian sector.
Strong knowledge of donor regulations (USAID EU UN agencies etc.).
Proven experience in procurement warehousing fleet management and distribution.
Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages is an asset.

Required Skills:
