Job Summary
Job Title: Traveling Nanny (Live-In Seasonal)
Location:
- Primary: Southampton NY (year-round)
- Seasonal Travel: Palm Beach FL (fall and winter) and Manhattan NY
Position Overview:
A UHNW family is seeking a highly experienced professional and discreet Traveling Nanny to care for a 3-year-old boy. This role requires a candidate who is attentive adaptable and comfortable working within a fully staffed household. The nanny must be confident in managing childcare responsibilities independently while traveling between multiple residences throughout the year.
Schedule:
- 5 days on / 2 days off
- Flexibility required for evenings including accompanying the family to dinners
- Based in Southampton NY and travel to Palm Beach FL during fall and winter months. Also spending some weekends in Manhattan NY
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive developmentally appropriate care for a 3-year-old child
- Accompany the family to dinners and events while ensuring the childs supervision and well-being
- Travel with the family between residences (Southampton Manhattan Palm Beach)
- Drive the child as needed including trips into Manhattan
- Maintain a structured routine and stay focused on childcare duties at all times
- Collaborate respectfully with other household staff
- Ensure a safe engaging and nurturing environment
Requirements:
- Significant prior nanny experience ideally with UHNW families
- Valid drivers license and strong driving skills
- Comfortable with frequent travel including flying
- Ability to swim
- Professional demeanor with strong discretion (must be comfortable around high-profile individuals)
- Ability to stay in your lane and remain focused in a dynamic household environment
- Flexible reliable and respectful
Compensation & Benefits:
- $40 - $45/hour DOE
- Health benefits provided
Additional Details:
- The child resides full-time in Southampton with his mother
- The grandmother (primary employer) maintains multiple residences and travels seasonally
- Candidate must be comfortable living in different homes depending on the season
