Job Description

Project/Program:

IT Specialist with Web Accessibility expertise and auditing to assist with system transformation projects.

Day-To-Day Tasks:

Will perform extensive accessibility analysis and create documentation for new or existing transactions that will involve:

Working independently or with accessibility testers to assess web pages and documents (i.e. PDF) for conformance to established web accessibility standards (in particular WCAG 2.0 AA).
Developing detailed reports explaining accessibility defects identified through an audit and suggesting remediation methods/techniques.
Reviewing results of assessment with developers project team members and management. Answering questions regarding testing methods and interpretation of the results.
Creating comprehensive accessibility documentation for use by developers.
Guidance and participation in developing an accessibility audit methodology.
Participate in accessibility feedback to transaction and form designs.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Works in the field of Information Technology experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.

Expert:

84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Requested Qualifications:

84 months of experience designing and implementing highly available and scalable multitier applications using Object Oriented or Service Oriented Architecture involving data structures algorithms software design and JEE design patterns.
84 months of experience in developing applications that are implemented with JAVA Development Kit (JDK 1.8 or higher).
72 months of experience with web development using JSF/JSP HTML CSS and JavaScript in J2EE based Application Servers such as WebSphere Application Server 8.0 or higher.
72 months of experience in developing applications using JPA and/or Hibernate using Oracle or SQL Server databases.
72 months of experience in messaging technologies such as MQ & JMS.
60 months of experience developing implementing and integrating systems related to criminal justice processing at the state or federal level (including but not limited to: disposition processing fingerprint identification processing criminal history updating).
