Maintenance Tech- Level 2 (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
Correctly interpret work orders
Work in a team environment i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
Perform basic facility maintenance tasks.
Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics pneumatics and mechanical processes.
Ability to determine repairs needed for future corrective maintenance work.
Perform basic non-load bearing welds using mig or stick welding
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
Perform other duties as requested by lead supervisor or manager.
Required Skills:
The ability to perform basic shop math fractions decimals
The ability to use basic hand tools wrenches etc.
The ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometers calipers comparators
The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents basic computer skills
The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions
Experience & Education
3 to 6 years of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required
GED or High School diploma required
Working Conditions:
Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environment
Constant exposure to moderate noise
Working conditions may include small spaces dust fumes odors hot / cold temperatures inside / outside noise vibration standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
Must be able to work any shift including overtime weekends and holidays if scheduled.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
Must be able to stand walk bend squat climb kneel twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping pushing and pulling of materials.
Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane boom lift and manlift.
Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
