Accountant Job Description
- Process month-end plant journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitors and maintains plant policies and procedures
- Standard Cost Accounting reviewing and analyzing standard costs for raw materials semi-finished goods and finished goods
- Review production order variances
- Analyzes cycle count and inventory data on a rotational basis
- Maintain other plant compliance topics. Including but not limited to HR Shipping/Receiving Fixed Assets/MRO and Production.
- Present summaries and executive-style reporting to management for summarization of compliance
- Work directly with internal/external audit on resolution of current findings and prevention of future findings
- Ad hoc reports as needed
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in accounting required
- Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred
- 3 years in accounting
- Direct Plant/Manufacturing experience desirable
- Must have strong analytical skills and experience in analysis
- Ability to effectively interact with operating units and other departments
